I want to use this blog to share ideas and get feedback on them from the #SalesforceDevs community. Everyone should try and improve their skills every day and I want to do that by exposing my solutions to the critical voice of anyone who is willing to spend a few minutes reading about them. I don’t just want to show the final product though. Rather I want the process of getting there and problems along the way to be seen. I hope this may inspire others; those with less experience to keep at it despite of troubles; and those with more to share.

Improving sustainability of Salesforce solutions by inspiring Salesforce Developers to work on their Software Engineering skills.

The BEARy Reason for this Blog

In my work I’ve enjoyed relative success. At least that’s what feedback from others so far had suggested. I’d like to think that it is (at least partly) down to these values that I do my best to keep. You can read more about how I chose them here (LinkedIn).

Who’s the Bear

ALEŠ REMTA

Salesforce Developer and Solution Architect based in Prague, Czech Republic. I started my Salesforce journey in the UK back in 2012. My primary role was always developer but it was never the only role. I’ve pretty much always stayed on the “main platform” with focus on Apex. I think I have decent experience with LWC, some with Aura and historically even Visualforce too. I am pretty clueless when it comes to “other clouds”

Until mid-2021 I worked with consultancy partners. I’ve seen quite a few orgs from very small to quite the monsters. And monsters they were (even the small ones). Very often. It’s a known trope of our field – the quality is often not there. For various reasons. I picked on of the big ones – the lack of care – and I want to change it. I am a Developer, so I want to focus on inspiring Developers to care when they code.
